Citizens Advice

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Every Citizens Advice Bureau is a registered charity reliant on trained volunteers and funds to provide these vital services for local communities.

Support us

The Citizens Advice service touches millions of people’s lives in thousands of ways. We help people resolve their problems through two approaches: by offering free, quality advice, and by initiating campaigns for policy change.

We make a positive impact on individuals and the communities in which they live and nearly half the public has used a Citizens Advice Bureau at some stage in their lives.

Because every Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity. We rely on the support of people like you.

Kate

"I was desperate and had contemplated taking my own life. My debt problem was the first and last thing I would think of. I had no hope for the future. Things are better for me now, I have secured full-time employment and the CAB has negotiated an acceptable repayment schedule that I am confident I can maintain." Kate, CAB client

We help 1.9 million people to deal with over 5.5 million problems, but the unmet demand on our services is growing. With a Citizens Advice Bureau in the community, people always have somewhere to turn in times of crisis.

Can you help us to help more people like Kate, Sam, Veejay and Clive?
