The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Every Citizens Advice Bureau is a registered charity reliant on trained volunteers and funds to provide these vital services for local communities.

Employment

Citizens Advice regularly publishes evidence reports and briefings of CAB clients' problems. We use this evidence to campaign for changes in policies and services.

Citizens Advice bureaux dealt with 476,000 new problems realted to employment in 2007/08. These were mainly linked to terms and conditions, dismissal and redundancy.
