Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance

Course outline

A one day training course designed for advisers and support staff who work with people with disabilities. This course is suitable for those planning to attend the ‘Effective DLA form completion’ course.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course participants will be able to;

  • recognise the different qualifying conditions for DLA and AA
  • identify potential entitlement at appropriate levels
  • describe how case law helps to define the disability conditions
  • explain the additional rules that apply to children
