Appealing to the social security commissioners

Course outline

This course aims to demystify the process of taking an appeal to the Social Security Commissioners. It considers relevant procedures and examines how to identify errors of law in tribunal decisions. Participants should have knowledge of appeals to tribunal level.

  • consider options following an unsuccessful tribunal
  • recognise errors of law
  • prepare requests for leave and appeals
