  • Remedies – declarations – recommendations – compensation – Vento v Chief Constable of West Yorkshire
  • Time limits – Hendricks v Metropolitan Police – Spillett v BUPA

Learning objectives

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Explain the different types of discrimination and the legal definitions that apply;
  • Identify evidence, which helps prove discrimination;
  • Improve their understanding of how discrimination is proved;
  • Describe the remedies for discrimination and estimate compensation for injury to feelings;
  • Calculate time limits for discrimination claims
